Too Early To Investigate Employment Options?

Hi All,
Just wanted to know what advice you can give regarding sending out "feeler letters" for potential employers for CRNA work.
For someone like me and other SRNAs that just started school last year, is it too early to send out letters to hospitals that employ CRNAs, telling them of my interest in working for them in that particular city?
Some people I talked to are telling me that it's too early. But the fact of the matter is, I'm already thinking of where to relocate after school. Also, someone told me that sending out letters to potential employers may even get me a stipend/contract. Any advice would be appreciated.

V.

First, it's not too early. Many of the anesthesia groups/larger hospitals want to talk to people while they are still in school, try to "hook them" before they graduate. If you know where you want to go, it is certainly not too early to start researching who you want to work for when you get there. I signed a contract with an anesthesia group about four months before even starting school. There were pluses and minuses, and I have since moved on, but overall I think I made a good decision.

Piggy Bank I Guess It's Not Too Early...
Thanks for the input guys. I will work on my letter to send out to companies/hospitals after I research the cities in which I plan to move to after graduation.
