By post's pertaining to becoming a CRNA, it's been commonly advised that if you are intrested in becoming one, to shadow one.
This may seem dumb to ask, but how do I go about that? Actually contact a hospital and ask to shadow? Find a CRNA? Ask the director/instructor of my ADN program to talk to somebody? I don't know where to start.

You have to be pro-active. Call, write or visit a local medical center and contact the anesthesia department. Go talk to them, let them know you are interested in anesthesia and would like to shadow a CRNA a few times. Perhpas it may seem a bit bold, but that is the way the process goes these days.
If you would like to contact me directly you may send a private message.

When I wanted to shadow, I called my hospital's OR. They gave me the head CRNA's name, and I set it up from there. Good luck!
I'm guessing it was easier for me to do since I was already an RN and worked in the hospital, but it's what worked for me

Hope you have better luck than I had. Some CRNA's at my facility act as if they are all too busy. Amazing.
