question about change in info previously presented by employer

i have a question that i hope one of you all can help me with. when i interviewed and signed a contract with my to be employer - i was told (verbally) no holidays/wkends/on call mandatory but could be done voluntarily for extra $$... the contract i signed only had financial information - ie. payback information, amount to be dispersed to me and my future starting rate... there were no provisions about schedule...
i just recieved a letter telling me that i will be working one wkend/month (with one day/wk off for that wkend) .. should i bring this up - or just drop it ... i really like the place - i am there right now as a senior student to get used to the atmosphere.... but i am a little perturbed at the change.... would i go elsewhere because of it...no... but i feel that i was given false information.

thanks.

Unless your schedule arrangement was also in your contract, you're probably out of luck.

I'd at least ask why there has been a change. Did someone leave the group, did the person taking the extra weekends finally get tired of it, etc.

Situations, personnel, benefits - all can change. If it's not in the contract...
