Post masters degree

Hi everyone,

I will start the Icelandic CRNA masterīs program fall ī09 in the university of Iceland. I was wondering if you know about a post masters degree in USA so I can take the CRNA exam in the US? Is there such a program anywhere? Iīve seen programs where nurses that have masters in other fields can take a post master degree to become CRNA but what if I already have a masterīs degree in anesthesia?

any input would help,

Icenurse

I believe you would have to complete a Nurse Anesthesia program in the US to sit the Certification Exam. Go to the AANA.com website and contact someone on the National Board on Certification & Recertification of Nurse Anesthetists. The role of Nurse Anesthetist can vary widely when comparing countries, and I'm pretty sure you would need to attend an US program.
