Nursing strengths

by BDD

I am trying to figure out something on one of my apps. It asks for nursing strengths. What specifics are the admissions committee's looking for, such as related to patient care or as a worker overall? I'm kind of confused in this thought. Do you put that you are reliable or a team player, or do you put that you are proficient with vasoactive meds. Just wondering. Thanks

Hello!
I do all the interviewing for my facility and I can tell you what that would mean to me. I would be looking for a charecter (sp?) strength that is useful in nursing, not a specific skill. I have had people answer that question with things like, I am great at phlebotomy and that is not at all what I am looking for. Something more along the lines of I am great at prioritizing and delegating would be more along the lines they are looking for, IMHO!

i honestly believe that one of the most important trait a candidate for a CRNA program can have is the ability to think and react under pressure and in critical scenario's - if you truly have this quality - it would be worth mentioning...
