Need help Quick !

From what I have heard it does not matter. I am getting my ADN at a community college, and I know many on this board have done this or taken some pre reqs at a community college. As long as your grades are high, it shouldn't matter. Good luck!

I do not think that matters at all!!! One of my best friends is a crna and started out as an lpn. I and a lot of people either applying or in a program got a lot of classes from community college. No problem///

Nilepoc and others,

I've seen from your earlier writings that you repeated classes and took additional science classes at the CC level to improve your GPA. Is this CC route suggested if I have my BSN, took lots of science classes at the university level (>10 years ago), made C's in them and now looking to possibly retake some classes (such as Orgo, Biochem, etc) to improve the science gpa?? I assumed this might be "looked down upon" by schools I apply to. I was going to retake biochem this semester at the Univ level but instead have just registered for a Grad level Advanced Pathophysiology course. Just looking for advice since this issue resurfaces repeatedly (taking CC courses as well as repeating courses for higher science gpa's)

If you repeat courses and make a better grade it can only help you, esp the science courses. The school I was just accepted to almost turned a friend of mine down for a low science GPA, then they realized she had repeated the courses and made all A's and B's. They told her that was a good thing for her to have done. She then was accepted into the program. Of course, the choice is yours. You could always apply and see what happens. Good Luck!
