Mount Marty anesthesia program

by JCRN03

I did a forum search and was unable to find much about Mount Marty, SD. It has a 2 year accredation and is probably not one of the more well known schools. However, I like the program for several reasons (simulator, Master of science, regional/line exp., possible clinical rotation in my wifes home town). Does anyone know someone who is or has attended. What were their opinions of the school?

I also looked into the program was very impressed, I called and spoke w/ the director. Several of the CRNA's in Idaho, attended and spoke very highly of it. I would have pursued Mount Martys more but I had a year and 1/2 of ICU and the director said they place a high degree of merit on # of ICU yrs. had I not got in else where, I would have applied the next year.

good luck

I don't go to Mount Marty, but in some different nurse anesthesia meetings etc I have run into their students. They are good. One of the CRNAS who works where I train graduated from Mount Marty and she's an awesome CRNA. Take that for what its worth...you can become a good CRNA by going to almost any program. It's what you put into it.
