Dartain,
Since I did not have my BSN yet but met all of the other requirements I will go through the regular interview process.
The process so far was to have everything in by Feb. 15th (paperwork and etc.) to both the Nursing School and the Graduate School. If anything was left out they should have sent you a letter. I received one because there was originally a hold up from the graduate school. I contacted the Nursing school and they worked on it from their end as well... my packet is completes now.
From what I understand the next step for them is to review all of the packets and make their lists of qualified applicants and then send them a notice. Then from there they contact each applicant and a interview date is set up.
I have some friends that also have applied and they are in limbo as well. I have not received anything with a date on it but am going off of what I have been told.
I was told at my meeting that I would have an interview and not to worry. I contacted them one other time to confirm because some of the info on the website states that they will do interviews in April not March.... They said they would see me in March.
I hope that this helps.
This is a fairly new program but I have only heard good things about it. If they see that you are falling behind in an area they work extra with you to ensure that you are going to get the priciples of it. They won't let you "slide" a bit though. I was originally going to apply to TWU. Excellent program.... Have severla friends goingt there now. But my wife and I have a new baby on the way and its due at the end of July.... So I wouldn't have had any time with them before starting the TWU program (if accepted). I also had heard that TWU accepts extra people that they don't have clinical space for because they know they will either weed out or student will drop. I understand this prcatice from their point. You must be dedicated and ready. But ASU tries to ensure that all of that is addressed prior to acceptance. So for me ASU was the best choice.
I have been told by some of the current ASU students that they have had so many applicants for the Jan 2005 class that there will not be any late applicants accepted. I believe that last year they did accept a few late.
Hope some of this helps,
Demoking
