How to dress for interview?

Dress to express the level of your desire to obtain a position in the school.

without a doubt, suit shows professionalism, shows you know the importance of the occasion, conservative is best.

Absolutely wear a suit. I have spoken with different people who interview medical and nursing applicants for admissions to their programs and all of them said wear a nice suit. Also, try to get as much information about the intrerview process at that institution, it appears to vary from school to school. Some grill you and some are very laid back, do your home work in regards to preparing for your interview. In addition, take time to learn a little about the anesthesia profession and the AANA, my interviewers seemed to be impressed with my general knowledge of those issues. Some schools seemed to place plenty of emphasis on the interview, so make the most of it.

Do some research on the internet about interviews. There is quite a bit of info out there. You can tailor the job interview material to this situation, ie. how to best present yourself in 15-30 seconds, eye contact, smiling, etc.
These folks at the interview not only want to know that you will hold up academically, but also personally and professionally as well.
One of my weirdest ?'s was: What was the last foreign film you saw and how did you like it?
They also want to know what kind of person you are, likes, hobbies, etc

Uh...I have never watched a foreign film...I don't think I have...

To be honest...and I have read this isn't good...but a lot of my life is just school and work....I really like school...so I just sit there and read and instead of just reading what I have to..I read more...I like to read...I love school...then I work...I am married...and I really like school....get my drift? I do a little hospice volunteering...which is something I just started...and I do some art...BUT SCHOOL is right up there....it's like number 3 with me....although I think on the outside looking in...it looks like number 1 with me...
I wonder why it is so important.......or seems so important to be balanced....Why can't developing my career be one of the most important things to me? Since it is one of the most important things to me....then yes, I'm going to put most of my time into it. To me....school=education=success......Now I know...there are other kinds of success...but well this is really important to me.

CRNAs are close to the top of the food-chain in nursing. High salary, lots of autonomy, specialized skill, lots of responsibility-----definitely wear the suit, dark blue or gray with a conservative tie.

Having always worked in areas where I have not needed a suit, I am needing to purchase a new one for my upcoming interview. The only suit I have is 20 years old and looks it!(At least it's not baby blue with a frilly thing!) Anyway, does the time of year dictate what kind or color suit I should get? With most interviews I have had, I have worn just casual dress clothes, this time I agree that I need to go all out! Any ideas?
