Getting ready

Hi, I'm new to this message board. I am in the process of preparing to apply to nurse anesthesia school. Basically, I have a BSN and 2 years of ICU experience. I am currently taking organic chemistry and plan to take biochemistry in the fall. My undergraduate GPA is 3.1, but I am hoping that good grades in Orgo and Biochem will increase this.
So, first question is: Do the classes I take after my BSN factor into my GPA? (The classes after my BSN are at a different school).
Secondly, my top choices for schools follow. If anyone can give me any comments, opinions, red flags, etc. I would appreciate it.
1. Mt. Marty-Sioux Falls, SD
2. Southwest Missouri State
3. Webster- St. Louis
4. Decatur Memorial- Illinois
5. Actually, anywhere that will take me

Thank you in advance for your input. This board has been very informative!

Any recent coursework will be considered relevant. Obviously doing well in organic and biochem will have a positive impact on the admission process. Remember that GPA is not the only variable that is used for selection. GRE/MAT, references, work experience, etc... are all highly important.

I attend Bradley/Decatur anesthesia program and I would be happy to answer any questions you may have. However, I'm only in the first year of the program and I do not start clinicals until July 28 of this year. Therefore, I really am not sure as to the details of the clinical phase.

Good luck,

randy

I'm assuming you have graduated their program since this post, how did you feel about the program? I'm looking into going there for CRNA. Thanks!
