First week of class for SRNA

Hi, I just started my first week of school and I am looking for some study tips! I am currently taking Advanced A&P. We are covering the material extremely fast and will have a test every week. Can anyone tell me some techniques that helped them retain info? (flash cards, rewriting, etc) I really would appreciate any advice?

STUDY, STUDY, STUDY!

I had to commute 45 minutes each way to the school so I would tape classes and listen again during my drive. I would retype my notes and also make note cards. Everybody has a different way of studying, you need to know how you learn best and stick with that same method all the time. I also had a little study group that would get together often to discuss the material.

Default Get into a study group
I would suggest getting into a study group. Prior to CRNA school I never studied in a group. I always did better studying on my own. However, for me CRNA school has been different. There is so much material it helps if you can get in a group of four or five students who are very dedicated and team players. This way you can compare notes and make up a master list of notes for your entire group to study from. I have found that this has helped me immensely. I would make sure your group is not too large and that everyone in the group is dedicated to making the group as strong as it can be. Good luck.

Trauma Tom is right, i never ever ever did a single study group until anesthesia school. Just don't let the group get too big (3-5max).....too many cooks in the kitchen equals spoiled broth....haha. good luck
