epidurals and hospice patients

We recently had a patient entered into hospice who was having their pain controlled with an epidural. Historically in hospice we don't change iv's or urinary catheters ect. unless we absolutely have to, comfort is our main focus. We did not want to change the epidural catheter in the 3 days that is the routine per the CRNA involved in the case. What would or are you doing in these cases?
