Any CRNAs working in pediatric facilities? Are peds jobs few?

There are CRNAs working at a number of children's hospital- Children's Hospital of Michigan and Mott Childrens Hospital as an example. The current AANA Newsbulletin has ads for CRNAs at The Children's Medical Center, Dayton OH & CookChildren's Health Care System, Fort Worth TX. I'm sure there are more positions available.

I salute all of my colleagues working in pediatric hospitals- its a special niche and you demonstrate every day the knowledge, skill, caring and compassion that are the hallmarks of our profession. KUDOS

One of the students in my graduating class just accepted an offer at a children's hospital-- so yes, there are jobs out there!

I was glad to see this post, as I have questioned the availability of peds CRNA positions myself recently. I am a pediatric critical care nurse and hope to be accepted into a CRNA program for 2008. My goal after graduation is to work strictly in pediatrics. I do know that Cook Childrens in Fort Worth and Dallas Childrens have CRNA positions posted. Good Luck.

From further research, it appears that CRNAs work at Children's Hospital of Philadelphia as well as Cincinatti Children's. Does any one know if they are at Pittsburgh Children's?

I am a peds CRNA in the Philly area. To my knowledge, all the peds hospitals in this area (CHOP, St. Chris, Temple in Philly and DuPont in Delaware) have CRNAs.
