CRNA without a BSN

by dad2one

I have a BA in History and will be finishing a BS in Biology. I am going to complete an ADN program at a local community college and was planning to finish my BSN while I get my work experience (preferrably on my employers dime ).

I want to eventually pursue CRNA school and I was wondering if it would be better for me to just finish my BS in Biology (I only need about 16 hours) instead of the BSN. Why do I have a BA in History and a (almost) BS in Biology and am now pursuing nursing you ask? The details are long and confusing. The BA was my first degree, I went back to work on the BS in Bio when I discovered through working in a hospital that I wanted to go into nursing and specifically CRNA (I did an elective studying anesthesia and observing - and getting some good hands on experience (13 successful intubations and ACLS) in the OR). For $$ reasons, I didn't finish the BS but am taking time off to work and save.

I know that a nursing degree and experience are required, but I'm also finding that some schools will take an ADN and another BS instead of a BSN. What are opinions on this?

This question continues to surface, I have linked a previous discussion, and there are many other past threads regarding it.
