somebody said there is no time for drinking water or eating as a CRNA? why is that? I like to lift weights and eat well so that would be a problem for me... Thanks!

IMO, if you can't find time to eat, drink or pee sometime during your day...you are not very well organized. However, if you are a solo practitioner, with no one to relieve you during cases, and your case lasts a long time...then I can see how that statement may be true.

Regarding time off, I don't have an employer. When I take time off I find other CRNA's to cover any work while I am gone.

I hear a lot people saying they worked in the hospital, taking 24hr call, working weekends etc... what type of cases did you do in the hospital? Do CRNA's work on the complicated cases?

I've heard in conversation that CRNA's are rarely used on complicated cases (i.e. OHS). Do CRNA's get stuck with mostly simple to moderate cases?

Thanks!

Depends on where you work. Sometimes you can do OH exclusively. Often after three p.m. you acquire magical powers to do anything.

May I pick your brain a bit? If so, I have a few questions:

When finding a replacement CRNA:

what qualities do you look for?

What certifications do you look for?

How many years of experience from that CRNA do you think should be "enough" for you to feel comfortable covering/representing you (if it's even a case of representation, so to speak)?

How do you find the replacement?

In your personal opinion, how many CRNA's need to find a replacement every month?

Thanks in advance for any of these questions you are, or anyone else for that matter, are able to answer!
