- Feb 15 by OscarRNI'm interested in this topic as well. Also how much are people going into debt these days for school? I know this largely depends on where you live and the program you attend...
- Feb 15 by stanljeit really depends on the amount of your loans and the salary that you are able to secure as a CRNA. Most SRNA's come out of anesthesia school with 80 to 100k in debt. The optimum is to sacrifice for a few years and pay this off within 4 or 5 years.Check out the website crnafinancialplanning.com for help.bibibi likes this.
- Feb 15 by NurseRiesQuote from OscarRNI paid for my owns rent, bills, and partial tuition while in school. I worked 2 jobs and still ended up with $53,000. This was for BSN. I think I will have it paid off in 4 years on a pretty basic RN salary, but I've been paying much more then minimum payments. Has been a real pain, I would have preferred to use my money for a house, but will come in time.I'm interested in this topic as well. Also how much are people going into debt these days for school? - Feb 17 by denver nursegot a 140k (2 undergrad degrees plus wifes student debt) debt now and will prob tac on anywhere from 80-160k with crna school depening on whether my wife works or not (she is a nurse as well) based. so should come out with a hefty little chunk of debt...but still worth it
- Feb 25 by OscarRNHave buddies coming of school with $180,000.00 worth of loans. Is that doable or is it too much. This includes tuition and living expenses.
- Feb 27 by bibibiThat sounds like too much with current interest rates. Try to stay in the vicinity of 120k.CPhT2RNstudent likes this.
- Mar 2 by missnurse01holy crap denver and oscar! that's a lot of money you are quoting...I keep thinking, 'that's a house!'. We will see what I come out with. I really hope it's under 100,000...

Usually if you have no savings you will end up with a little above 100K. Unless you go to one of the schools that charge low tuition.
