Critical Care Pharm

I'm a new grad and currently working in the CTICU. I would like to know if there are any good books out there for critical care pharmacology. I don't want to know just the basic info that you get in a drug handbook. I also want to know how the drug works, what receptors they work on etc. You can also IM me.

Hi,

Pharmacology for Nursing Care by Richard A. Lehne is an absolutely wonderful text book- complex material in an easy to read format- but not overly simplified!

I agree with alex_hamilton18. We used that book in my pharm class and I still use it during my nursing training. It provides a good starting point of the pharmokinetics of a given drug which you can use if you want to research the drug further.
