I'll probably fall back on my degree and make more money or; Hopefully, someone could recommend a position that gives early students invaluable experience to stay ahead of the game and ahead of the competition.

You might want to consider a job in the ICU as a tech (if the hospital hires nursing students as techs) if you really want to become a CRNA. That way, you can work you way in the ICU as an RN when you graduate. And, while you are working on your BSN, you will be accumulating those precious years as an ICU nurse.
To be honest, I personally don't think that they look at your pre-nursing career when they try to consider you for a slot in a CRNA program. What they look for, is the year/s of experience as an RN in the ICU.
When I was interviewed last year, they didn't even ask what I did prior to becoming an RN. None of the people that I am in class with were asked about their previous jobs either.
Just focus on passing the RN boards, getting in the ICU and working hard towards a very good GPA and GRE score.
