Anyone interviewing at ASU?

by aRNnAR

I have an interview scheduled at Arkansas State Univ. on March 27th...just wondering if anyone else has an interview scheduled at ASU? Also, does anyone know how their interview process works or what questions they ask? I have heard that the NA director, Ms. Campbell, and Dr. J Hall (anesthesiologist) sit in on the interview, but Dr. Hall asks most of the questions. Any information is greatly appreciated. BTW, I have an interview for TWU Jonesboro site in April. Thanks

My cousin interviewed there and was accepted last year. Don't quote me on this, but I think she said the interview was mostly getting to know you type questions...why you want to be a CRNA, etc...I believe she also said she had to take a written test. That was really all she said...hopefully someone can shed more light...good luck!

Good Luck with your interview:
I interviewed there last year but didn't get accepted. Before the actual interview I took a 15 question / short answer exam on hemodynamics and drugs. After that you have a 10 or 15 question / short answer questionaire "about yourself" the basic questions asked during an interview. So get there an hour or so early and you'll have more time with the writing.

The actual interview with Ms. Sue Campbell (program director) was very informal and there wasn't anyone else in the room...this could have been due to the fact that the interview was on a Saturday? In my opinion, Arkansas residence & GRE scores play a big part in the decision making process.
GOOD LUCK!

I may remember a few other questions that were on the exam.

Default Susan Campbell is an incredible person
arkansas state university is definately a program which should raise your interest. if you follow Ms Susan Campbell career you will see she has a very proud following and her students think the world of her. she is very much a student advocate which you will not find in many programs. you will be very fortunate to get into her program. and very grateful afterwards. hobieer

Congrats on the interview. I am also interviewing on the 27th. I am a bit paranoid. I have some friendds that are currently in ASU's first class and also some in the second. I have heard that the interviews will be changed thisyear and there will be a panel of interviewers. I have also heard that there is a test prior to going in. I have another friend currently in ghte Wesleyan program and loves it. he will be coming back to Little Rock for his clinicals. I also have another co-worker that has already interviewed and been accepted to TWU for August.

Where are you coming from for the interview? What time slot did you get?

I'll be there early on Saturday.

later and good luck
