anesthesia brain book suggestions

by tcrn

I plan on making my own brain book and in addition would like some input on your favorite ready made brain books. I remember seeing a cool ready made laminated one when I interviewed at TCU. If there are any frog people reading this be sure to post the web site or name brain book used.
also, plan to find a pda program- anyone have a favorite?
One good suggestion I have been given is to make a book with Crna and physician preferences as each day one can bet on having a new "teacher".
Any other suggestions??

No offense, I found brainstation to be a waste of time and money. One student at our school prev. did a project and it was a book on how to specifically survive our program with a ton of medical knowledge and fast facts. It has been updated year after year and it beats brainstation to a pulp.

You can do better than brainstation..

I made my own - used a little photo album. You know, the ones from Walmart that hold 4x6 photos? Well I put any little anesthesia "recipes" that were unusual on index cards and slipped them in. Now if I do an odd case, or something I haven't done in a while, or can't remember the infusion dose for sufenta during a crani, I have it in my little book. Plus, you can always add to it whenever you want.

Yes, brainstation is not the end all be all. It is simply a collection of information,
doses, procedures, emergency protocols etc. What works for one person my not work for others. UR
