ACT Team-Effectiveness Training

by Sleptym

Dear Colleagues:

I am deeply involved in the implementation of my DNP Capstone Project entitled, Development and Implementation of a Crew Resource Management-Based Training Program Designed to Improve the Attitudes and Enhance the Effectiveness and Safety of the Anesthesia Care Team. The team-effectiveness training program born of my Project, entitled the Anesthesia Care Team Crew Resource Management Training Program™, is currently scheduled to be presented at four initial implementation sites in Pennsylvania, Florida and Utah. Additionally, I am currently in the process of coordinating with eleven additional sites across the nation.

In an effort to derive additional data and make the program more beneficial for all types of licensed providers and students / residents providing clinical anesthesiology services as members of Anesthesia Care Teams, I am conducting a nationwide team-effectiveness training Needs Assessment Survey through SurveyMonkey.Com. This quick, easy and completely anonymous survey only takes about five minutes to complete. In order to make this program as meaningful and beneficial to both students and licensed practitioners as is possible, I am seeking nationwide participation. Toward that end, I am asking anesthesia training program directors, anesthesia department and section chiefs, and anesthesia group directors to encourage participation in this survey among their trainees and members.

Any Student Registered Nurse Anesthetist in clinicals, Anesthesiologist Assistant Student in clinicals, Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist, Anesthesiologist Assistant, anesthesiology resident or physician anesthesiologist who desires to participate is encouraged and welcome to do so. Simply click on the link below and you will be on your way.

Thank you for helping to promote Anesthesia Care Team safety!

Respectfully,
