What experiance helpful, other than L&D?

If you could have had experiance (or maybe you did) in another area (other than L&D) prior to school, what area would have been most helpful?

I have a CNM friend who said she wished she had done an ER stint prior to school to get a feel for more comprehensive care and how to spot things quickly. Anyone else have any other suggestions?

Thank you so much all! I appreciate your feedback.
