Volunteer work overseas?

by CEG

Just curious if anyone has done any volunteer midwife-ing anywhere? I am new grad looking to expand my experience and do some volunteer work. I am certainly open to anything in North America, but also considering Africa (I speak fluent French) or anywhere else that is relatively safe and needs midwives.

Has anyone had any good experiences or recommend a group/agency? Thanks!

Default Re: Volunteer work overseas?
I personally haven't done any volunteering in this capacity yet (I'm a SNM), but I hope to some day.
I think Doctors without Borders uses midwives? I know some docs who have used this company and don't know of anything bad about them.

Good Luck!
