Hello! I applied to Ohio State and to the University of Cincinnati for the CNM/WHNP program--hoping to start in January. I'm waiting to hear, but I wondered if anyone has some reading suggestions for me? I've read Baby Catcher by Peggy Vincent (loved it!) and Heart and Hands. Any other "must-reads" I should get my hands on?

Judith Rooks' Midwifery and Childbirth in America.

Penny Simkin's the Labor Handbook.

Hearts and Hands by Elizabeth Davis

Spiritual Midwifery Ina May Gaskin

I loved Diary of a Midwife by Julia Van Olphen-Fehr! Also, more of a fictional suspense story, but a good story based on a midwife is Midwives by Chris Bohjalain.
