Question about getting into a Nurse-Midwife program

Hi there, I am a prospective nursing school student in the Portland area. I have confidence that I will be accepted into nursing school but my ultimate goal is to attend the nurse-midwifery program at OHSU. Does anyone who was accepted into this program have any pointers and minimum requirements that they are looking for. I've heard that sometimes Dr's don't even get into this program. How true is this? Any answers are appreciated!
