    Hi! I was wondering what are the prescriptive capablities of CNMs. Can they prescribe as a NP can? antibiotics, pain meds, etc?

    You would have to check specifics for the state where the CNM is practicing.

    CNMs have prescriptive authority in all 50 states. Each state has different rules on how it is done.
