I am a registered nurse with extensive experience in ER, hospice and psych. Along with the loss of my baby daughter (I helped the pediatrician code her and got dressed and left with her in the NICU ambulance). Long story, she died of bacterial meningitis. But, her death brought me to hospice. So, in my portfolio, is it inappropriate to add this? Should it be APA format? I love to write, but also want to add that my personal experience with many deaths has added to my ability to provide excellent hospice care...and, to gestalt the needs of my families.I have evolved as a professional through personal loss. What do you think? I am applying to Frontier.
Thanks!
Barb

I have sent you a personal reply - I think it would be very unwise to add any information about personal life to this portfolio - keep it strictly professional.

Really? I would've thought differently. Can you explain why-in general terms-why you think this would be unwise?
