Has anyone ever NOT been accepted to frontier?

I'm starting to freak out writing this $100 check! I want to do this SO bad, but I have no L&D experience (I've been trying so hard to get a job there!) Just being a charge nurse in subacute care for 1.5 years. I had a GPA higher than 3.0 at my graduation. So I do meet the requirements...

It just seems too good to be true because of how badly I want to be a CNM. So has anyone ever NOT been accepted to Frontier? I don't mean wait listed, I just mean NOT accepted. I think I have read one person say that on here, but didn't give reasons.

I just want to know the chances I guess.

FYI, University of Illinois-Chicago offers an online MSN in midwifery/WHNP and only factors in your most recent 60 credit hours. I'm applying there for Fall 2014 entry!

Wow! how have I not heard about this program before? It doesnt look like it is online, however, I think the online option is only for post-masters DNP

Hi SnowboardRN...I recently applied to Frontier and through reading thorugh old posts, I came across yours and it prompted me to look into things further and just discovered that my school was not nationally accredited either. I am absolutely devastated. Did they offer any solutions other than getting your BSN at a nationally accredited nursing program???? I will call them tomorrow. I am just sick about all the work I went through and money I spent getting my application in and not being able to do what I've wanted to do for 15 years. I know I will get over it, it is just so hard to adjust your plan and your dream.

Hi, sorry you're going through the same thing! No, my only solution was to get my bsn from a nationally accredited school, which is what I'm in the process of doing right now.

I wanted to give an update on my old post here, I was not accepted.

It was because the school I graduated from was state accredited, and they only allow nationally accredited. I thought that my school was nationally accredited but after many tears and phone calls I learned that I was wrong.

The good news is that I only have my associates degree, and have been accepted in to a nationally accredited school to get my bachelors. But now this thread has me worried because I have gone to this school before and have no idea what my gpa is from those classes. My gpa at my associates school was well above the 3.0... So will they take my associates and then my bachelors, or will all of the old classes count as well? They will be on the transcript when I graduate, but they aren't for the degree, so I'm confused.

Can you tell me which school you went to?

I though Frontier allowed the GRE if the GPA is under 3.0?

Is that correct ?

Also looking into applying for the CNM?
