Foreign trained RN looking to study...any advice?

by lol123

Any South African trained nurses/ foreign trained nurses looking to study? I completed a 4 year diploma including community, psychiatry and midwifery. I have a friend here in the USA who has completed her CNM nad she says we have a BSN with some credits to midwifery. I immigrated here 9 years ago and am worried that the CGFNS will not have my info for a school here and that my school in RSA will take forever to send them the info they may need here.... i need advice! Looking at the cnm/fnp route but am also worried about financing the whole deal as I have no idea how American schooling works! Any advice will be appreciated.
