by FLOBRN May 1, '06At the facility I am currently working at as a L&D RN, talks are underway to allow our CNM's to "manage" pts 32 weeks and up. I have not found anything specific about this issue on the state board of nursing site. Any thoughts or references out there?
Thanks

My hospital allows CNM's to manage and deliver pts 36 weeks and over independently (well as independently as someone can who has a backup MD)
Less than that we consult and most often comanage in the care along with the MD and perinatal people.
