Christian Home Birth Midwives

Hello all!
I think Midwifery is one of the greatest professions. If a person can deal with this highly demanding career then I truly believe it is as a result of a higher calling. Not many can deal with the demands that are made on the midwife--one is a very special person if they are able to do it! How many missed birthdays enagagements, anniversaries, etc are missed since babies make their entrance into the world on their own schedule? Not to mention being called at 2 in the morning!A good midwife rarely complains and accepts these interuptions as part of the job. Especially if one practices homebirth-so was wondering if there were any Christian midwives out there who were interested in doing homebirths in Maryland? Thanks !
