Ccrn

Updated May 21, 2006 at 07:13 AM by sirI

Hello everyone, My CCRN exam is tuesday...glad and a bit overwhelmed.....I took the CEN exam last year and that was very difficult...I expect the same with this exam.
Does anyone know of any site that has test questions? Any last minute tips would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Pam

I passed !!!

I wish you luck. It was a very hard exam but I did manage to pass it. If you did ok on your CEN I am sure you will be ok. Did you take a review course or use any practice tests? They did help me some.

Thanks Puff RN. I did pass !!!! It was a great feeling. The test was moderately difficult but totally doable. I attended a CCRN seminar put on by med Ed ..I didn't think they were great..BUT the Laura Gasparis Vonfrolio videos and book I watched them 50 times.. i viewed them so much my grandaughter who is 4 goes around making heart sounds and murmur sounds....so funny.
thanks

Congratulations!!!! I went to a two-day seminar in Little Rock that Laura Gasparis-Vonfrolio put on. Never had such a good time. Would go again just for the entertainment. Hope all goes well with you.

I'm supposed to attend a 4-day CCRN review in Little Rock next month. Do you think the Gasparis tapes/CD's helped you a lot? All this stuff is so expensive (and we don't get a salary differential for it either). There's also a program on ed4nurses.com, but I haven't heard anything about that one; he guarantees you to pass or he gives you tutoring and pays for the re-take of the test. I've been a CV/SICU nurse for 20+ years, but the CCRN test has always intimidated me...so now I have to show myself that I can do it. Maybe. Okay, okay, I can do it...if I study the right stuff...

I would put a great deal more time into studying for CCRN than you did for CEN. I took CEN and didn't think it was that bad, but after looking at some CCRN review stuff, the CCRN exam looks like a whole different animal. It seemed very in-depth to me.

All I studied was the LGV videos and book of pearls that comes with it and I scored 103. Its a great review course.
