Utilization Management

UM is not listed as a thread or specialty in the list? Does anyone know why?

I think some people equate UM with CM or at least slightly similar in some respects, more so depending on the facility and what is required. Our UM dept. did a lot of CM in the hospital though not after discharge. Also, there may not be enough in the UM specialty to warrent a separate specialty forum, though in searching I see a couple of similar threads.
