Are you asking about working for an agency as a Travel Nurse? If so, I know of a few that do it and, similar to bedside travel nursing positions, like it because they have limited contracts (pro) and hate it because they work in places no one in his/her right minds want to work for various reasons (con). So, based on your life needs and personality, you may or may not find it to be a good fit. Good luck.

Thank you very much !!! And on another note, What do I do when 2 travel nursing agencies want to submit me for the same assignment ? Do I do a first come basis thing ? I ask because this will be my very first time , and from inquiring ..here it goes !

Although this is a case management forum, I do not think I have read many nurses on this forum discuss travel experiences. Thus, your best bet is to try the Travel Nursing forum and ask this question:

I have done a couple of assignments as a travel Case Manager. I really enjoyed it. I do recommend exploring what role you will be in, some case manager positions that are advertised are not really case management but home health nurses. My assignment was a UR position.

HI cbperrine

i am currently looking into travel nursing as a nurse case manager I know that the main thing about traveling is that you are given very little orientation and expected to work independently. I am ok with that but my concern is that my 3 years of case management experience is telephonically through an insurance company..... Since you've actually done assignments as a case manager do you think that type of experience will suffice?

I do not think it is true that you will not get very much orientation, especially since Case Management in most settings requires following particular protocols and having access to multiple resources that are unique to that particular environment. So, I do not think you have a lot to worry about....

Thank you so much for responding!!!! Are your assignments going ok? How long do usually get in orientation? Have you been getting consistent work as a CM with your agency?
