service coordinator, a few questions

Aloha nurses,

I will be starting a new job as a service coordinator soon, I have never done this type of work and am wondering if there are any online resources I can access to read about the job itself, and also about medicaid. I will be doing health assessments by phone ..

The company provides training but I'm hoping to read some material pertinent to the job before I start since it will be so new to me.

And I'm confused, is a service coordinator nurse similar to a case manager?

The company mentioned there is a lot of room for promotion with this job, I'm so new to the field that I've only just begun learning about this so I'd love any input from the veterans ..do you enjoy your job, do you miss floor nursing, etc.
