    Do any of you know of companies that hire nurses to do home assessments, field assessments, underwriting, etc. I am thinking along the lines of life insurance, LTD insurance companies, etc.

    I have done nursing assessments for a company called Nations Carelink for 10 years. This is a part time consultant position, but a nice part time income. You need home health and/or case management experience to do these. They are nationwide. Check them out and see if they need anyone in your area.
