Hmmmmm. I'd love to know where your job is. California? I worked in the San Jose office and the one in Carmel, for them as a Peds case manager supervising caregivers working with patients who have developmental disabilities.
One mother used the LPN working there, to babysit her other children (very much against policy). She wanted to be at the home when the CM came, so it wouldn't be noticed. I came a little late to make my visit one afternoon, and she went balistic, as she had to go out, complaining to the office manager about it.
The office manager knew that she had befriended the LPN years before; and whichever agency hired that nurse, was the one used for the child. They switched agencies a lot, since their LPN wanted her income from particular agencies, evenly distributed (or something like that).
Maxim underpaid their professional staff, and have non nurses supervising R.N.s who are "recruiters".
The peds test has some pharmacology, requiring calculation of pediatric doses, as well as CPR for infants and children, as well as ventilator questions (mostly which knob does what), as I recall (several years after I took the tests). You can repeat the test, and it was "open book". Don't forget your peds and pharmacology books!
There was a question about when you'd advise Child Abuse agencies of that happening. However no HH agency for which I've worked, has been in favor of doing that for adults or children, since the families scream bloody murder when they're reported, and the agency loses the case. You have to do it, at the risk of your license, of course!
