Career Path for New Grad

Specialties Case Management

I am a new grad and I am having trouble finding a job, esp without any experience. I have found a few non-clinical positions that will hire new grads. My question is, will starting my career in non-clinical positions hurt my career or slow it down since I will not be practicing my hands on/patient care skills?

I say take the job and start out somewhere, I mean its better than not having a job at all. I would still keep on looking in case something does open up. If it is hard to find a job right now than I would take the non clinical position, you never know who you might meet (maybe someone who has connections or knows someone and can possibly help you get into a hospital setting if that is what you want). Sorry it is so hard to find a job. Never thought that would happen in nursing. GOOD LUCK!!!

Also you never know you may like the non clinical job. What I would do for a non clinical nursing job that pays roughly the same. :nurse:
