Where to work in Houston area

Hi,

I am a Canadian RN who is writing my NCLEX on July 13th and wanting to move to the Houston area soon after I pass. I have 11 years experience, with 8 and a half of it in Cardiology/CV Surgery. Where is the best place to look for a job within Cardio in Houston or area? Are there any jobs for me right now, full or part time? I saw on the internet a few positions at Memorial Hermonn, is this a good place to work?

Any advice!
Thanks Laura

I actually live in the Dallas area but my sister lives in Houston area. She is also an RN. I was just there this weekend and we were discussing nursing options in Houston. Look in the Medical Center. She previously worked for St. Lukes Hospital in the Medical Center. Right next door is MD Anderson. There are many fabulous hospitals in that area. Hermann Memorial is their county hospital. Not sure of the working conditions, but this is where most of the indigent care is referred to. My sister just told me that as far as pay goes in the Houston area, working at any of the facilities in the Medical Center pays the most. Houston has great pay for nurses and my sister loves it! Good luck.
