Trauna OR Nurse to Cardiac/Surgical Telemetry Unit

I am a Trauma OR Nurse and have an interview with a Cardiac/Surgical Telemetry Unit Manager. The HR person (who was fantastic) tole me to brush up on CHF, MI (diagnosis), Diabetes, and meds for each. I have started studying and would really appreciate any advice. I am so excited and am really wanting the challenge.

This was posted quite a while ago... But I wanted to know if you had started or got hired onto the Cardiac/Tele unit? And my question would be... Do you like tele or OR better? How long did you work in OR?
Im not in NS yet (starts in aug), but tele/cardiac and OR are the main two areas I am really interested in at the moment (who knows if that will change!) and it would be great to know which you prefer or like more?

I just started working in a Surgery Center and love it. I really didn't know how much I missed the OR until my first day back in the OR. I have been an OR nurse for 3 years.

I did not get hired into the Tele Unit afterall. Everything happens for a reason. During my orientation to the hosp (where the Surgery Center is located) I walked through the Tele Unit that I had applied for and realized that it was not for me at all.

Well, thanks for your reply and I'm glad you found something you truely love and are happy with. It would have been a shame if you started tele and hated it.
