I am a new grad who recently got her first nursing career on a Telemetry Progressive Care Unit. I feel as if I'm somewhat falling short on my knowledge in cardiac nursing care as well as my ability in cultivating critical thinking. I'm looking for resources (online or books) that will put me ahead of the game? Also, I feel as if I need a brush up on general nursing science, so any resources appropriate for new grads would be appreciated.
Thanks in advance.
Resources should include senior nurses on the unit. Brush up on your cardiac meds. Definitely know your rhythms. A really good book for rhythms and arrhythmias is Rapid Interpretation of EKGs by Dale Dubin, MD.
