How do I get cardiac nursing experience/skills?

Hey everybody. New here to allnurses.com. I'm hoping someone can offer some advice. I am very interested in getting experience in cardiac nursing. For the most part, I have always worked in small towns with limited opportunities at employment facilities. I want to get certification later on in this area but want to "beef-up" my skills and knowledge. How do I even get the opportunities? What do I need to do to increase my chances of getting into cardiac nursing and being successful at it now? I am currently an LVN. Anybody else here a CNS with a specialty in cardiology (my dream)? Thanks.
