    I'm a first year nursing student and just purchased my first stethoscope. Remember those days? Yes, exciting. but I'm looking for a good heart/lung sound CD or DVD that can help me understand what I'm hearing. Does anyone have a rec?

    I really like the nursing know how evaluating heart and lung sounds. Has a comprehensive book which tells you the physiology of what you are hearing along with an audio CD. I learned a great deal from it.

    Buying a good stethoscope makes a HUGE difference in identifying different more subtle sounds.

    I used to think I was terrible at assessing heart/lung sounds/deaf until I bought a Littmann Master Cardiology II...
