CPR Policy

by tina rn

I Have recently been tasked to update my facility's cpr policy. This update includes, mock codes, crash cart standardization, and documentation/evals. Any information/input would be appreciated.

Suggest that you include what requirements are needed to lead code. Who leads it e.g. physician, ER nurse etc. Who is responsible for each area of a code. Are respiratory therapist allowed to intubate? Who is? Also, see if your facility will permit that the code worksheet if signed by physician and nurse in charge of code can be considered the code permanent record? It would help with paperwork time.
