cath lab radiation risk


hi. i am considering accepting a position at a cardiac cath lab and was concerned about exposure to radiation. i am 23 y.o. and i'm not planning on having kids for 4-5 yrs. how much risk i am taking if i took this position?

Congratulations, I hope you took the position. Follow the safety policy of your hospital, be sure to wear the protective gear and safety radiation badges as instructed and your exposure will be limited. I have worked in this area for seven years and have minimal exposure. It is the best area to work in, enjoy.
