Where to go What to do?????

I'm in BC in extended care and we've been told to get ready cuz we'll soon be replaced by LPN's. I'm not willing to head back to acute care. Just wondering what alternatives might be out there. Anyone gone to Calgary or headed to the states to do extended care? Love to hear some stories or get some pointers.

Default States
I have never been a nurse in Canada, but as for coming to the states I can say there are some great options. I have a collegue that came down to the states (practically got eveyrthing payed for) and is making a ton more money than she did up in Canada. Its not just the money though, she tells me that the overall experience is different and in alot of cases better. I dont know details about the Canadian workplace, but I do know the facility she works in now loves her, its a great place to work, and she is soon to be promoted to unit manager. ---I hope this helps if you have any specific questions I would love to help you out.
