What do you wear while in College?

Hello everyone,
I hope you all had a great long weekend.

I will be attending the RPN course at Georgian College in the fall.
Do you wear scrubs in class or do you just wear street clothes? I hope it's scrubs, so I don't have to make a huge investment in buying new clothes. Do I need to purchase these before starting, or is that all clarified the first day? I want to be totally prepared for school so I won't feel stressed, and end up doing thngs the last minute.
As for shoes..should I get white runners or are there specific "nursing shoes" I need to get?

Thanks

i

Street clothes for class. Uniforms/scrubs for clinicals. The school will let you know what uniforms/scrubs/shoes to purchas for clinicals. Wear regular clothes the first day of class, unless told otherwise ahead of time. Jeans/slacks and a nice top are fine.

for shoes, make sure you get a comfortable pair. usually its acceptable to get a pair of mostly white runners.

and most things are clarified the first day of class anyways. just remember to have fun and try not to get too stressed out

We wear regular clothes to the college and scrubs to clinical.

White runners are usually fine.

just as the folks above said..street clothes most of the time...clinicals/practicums are scrubs....but you would want to check with the school on if there is any restrictions....
eg. Uniform 4 my school- any solid colour scrubs....although they have suggested against white (GET DIRTY EASILY/see through lol) and black (the COLOUR OF DEATH...so i've been told...although i mliie balck scrubs...and 4 some asian cultures white is the colour of death, althouygh for me black makes me look pasty white)
also we were "supposed to wear white shoes" but thats usaully only what the old Nursing instructors require...younger ones usually don't care so long as they're closed heal/toe shoes.
Oh & same with jewelry...old isntructors are strict...younger oens are lenient in general. (many of the younger instructors are still working RN's in hospitals or the like...and from infor form them plus my personal expereince as woorking/stil working in a hospital...guidleines are lax)

...but ya...first day dress nice...first impressions are important...you'll be spenidn the next few years with these peeps!

..oh your Q made me laugh...you can tell your a newbie...you hve that excitement about you....i remmebnre it myslef form alst year!
GOOD LUCK! ~Loquacity
