Waiting list for BCIT, Langara, and Kwantlen nursing?

I'm currently a 3rd year student at UBC, and I'm thinking of going for a BSc in Nursing at BCIT, Langara or Kwantlen after graduation. But I'm confused about all these waitlists I'm hearing about(for example, I have a first-year friend at Langara who said that she's officialy on the waiting list for the nursing program). I think BCIT doesnt/no longer keep wait-lists. But Langara and Kwantlen do. Does this mean that if I'm hoping to attend Langara or Kwantlen in the September after my graduation, I would have to apply now? Also, does anyone know how long is this current wait-list is?
