by AYEL

Hi!

The only NICU (if you mean Neonatal) is at the Isaac Walton Killam Hospital (IWK) Children's Hospital in Halifax. Their website may have more information for you.
The VG does not have pediatrics. Good luck to you!

Are you two talking about the same Victoria General Hospital? There are at least a half dozen of them in Canada... one in Halifax, one in Winnipeg, one in Victoria for sure. If I recall correctly the Victoria General Hospital in Victoria, BC does have a pediatric ward. It would be the only peds ward on Vancouver Island.

Oops! HaHa You're right janfrn, there is more than one VG in Canada! You get so focused on a name that is familiar and all else fades away I guess!

Good luck to you in your new job,Ayel! I don't know anything about Victoria's VG, but I've been to Victoria quite a few times and it is a lovely city -in fact, you're in for a real treat living on Vancouver Island -it is an AWESOME place - Mother Nature is particularly beautiful there!!!! All the best!

thanks to both of you jen and janfrn....... yes we miss the location of the hospital. And i forgot also about the other VGH. The VHG im talking about is in Victoria. Im sched to take the CRNE this coming June 4,2008. Trying to prepare while waiting for my working permit.

oobie: im under VIHA. They gave me options on how to enter Canada (PNP or working permit) and i asked the advice of my agent based in Canada..... and i will go in through dual intent, meaning ongoing processing of PR while on working permit. Expensive but much faster to obtain the PR according to my agent.
cheers! ayel
