Uniform expenses & Tax

Hi there

I was hoping any Alberta Nurse could help me out with the tax form. When you bought your uniforms, shoes etc anything related to work expenses. In which box on the tax form do you add up expenses?

Sorry, its my first time doing Canadian Tax Refund, I am late and it is mindboggling.

Thanks and appreciate your help

Kylie

Yeah, about that. None of those expenses are deductible. Not a one. The only expenses you can claim are registration fees for conferences and you claim them under education.

THanks JanFRN

Wow, So when I purchased my uniforms the lady asked if I need a receipt for tax. So Uniforms you dont get nothing??? That is unfair.

Well I am more concerned about the amount of money I payed for Uniforms. In Oz we are allowed Uniforms as a deduction. I work as a Nurse Attendant in Alberta, so I am not sure if that $1000 deduction is for RN & LPNs rather than NA's.

I have no idea about the Canadian Tax Refund as it a little different to Oz when it comes to paper work.

It's for all employed tax payers.

I don't do my own taxes. My husband's accountant does both of them at the same time and I just spend the refunds.
